Our History

Kingdom Causes Bellflower, originally known as Open Arms, was founded in 1999. The organization was created by a group of individuals who wanted to love and transform greater Bellflower in ways that no individual or church could on their own.

Over the years, KCB has developed partnerships with individual donors and volunteers, churches, non-profit organizations, and government officials in order to create long-term solutions for community development, including housing, job creation, and neighborhood development.

While programs and services have evolved over the years to meet the changing needs of the surrounding neighborhoods, KCB has maintained a focus on being a catalyst for change within the community by building coalitions that are focused on the personal and economic development of area residents.

Kingdom Causes Bellflower is a Christian Community Development Organization that firmly believes in serving all our neighbors, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or sexual identity. We strongly believe that all of us are better than any of us.  We value people over program and relationships over systems.  As bridge-builders, we work for both unity in the Christian community of faith and to build collaborations with anyone in the greater Bellflower area working for the good of the whole community.
