GSI As A Program

How does the GSI Transitional Employment Program Work?

Step 1

Referral

Potential participant refers themselves to the program or is referred by partners; like Rio Hondo AJCC, RedF, or New Hope Shelter.

Step 2

Follow Up

Our Employment Case Manager connects with the potential participant once there is a job opening and onboards them after they submit their paperwork.

Step 3

Work

Participant works part-time at Good Soil Industries, learning hard and soft skills. They also work closely with a case manager who assists them with resume building, mock interviews, and job leads.

Step 4

Graduation

Participant completes up to 300 hours of work at Good Soil Industries and transitions to permanent work in the private or public sector.

Step 5

Retention

Upon starting their new job, they work with a retention partner for up to one year, who acts as a safety net against potential barriers that can emerge on their path to self-sufficiency.
