Live: LTNF

Right now, we’re seeing a huge need for emergency assistance. There’re families waiting for their places to open, individuals trying to move into housing but stuck because of application fees, elderly neighbors walking to and from appointments because they’re saving for an electric wheelchair, and so much more. And even though every story has different elements, they all share a common goal—building a better future. One of the ways we try to help neighbors reach that goal is to love them by showing up in real, tangible ways. That’s exactly why the Love Thy Neighbor Fund was created, helping our homeless and struggling neighbors in the moments they need it most. Your financial support allows us to meet these needs and others like them in real time.

It’s “Live” Week, and while we usually share stories of neighbors who have found housing and stability, this time, we want to bring attention to the Love Thy Neighbor Fund—because this fund can help make a lot of those types of stories possible.

Since the fund’s beginning, it’s been used for things such as an emergency hotel stay for a family that needed time before they would be accepted into shelter, vehicle repair to help a neighbor be able to use the heater in the cold, resources to teach neighbors about Jesus, food and gift cards so our neighbors could feel the dignity of paying for their own hot food, and so much more.

These aren’t just small hand-outs, they have been and can continue to be life-changing interventions that help turn struggle into stability.
